Dtc install error

Fixes an issue in which you cannot run the Sysprep command on a VMware virtual machine. This issue occurs when the virtual machine is running Windows Vista, Windows Server 2008, Windows 7, or Windows Server 2008 R2.

Symptoms

Assume that you install Windows Vista, Windows Server 2008, Windows 7, or Windows Server 2008 R2 on a VMware virtual machine. However, if you run the Sysprep command just after you start the computer, you receive an error message that resembles the following:

A fatal error occurred while trying to sysprep the machine

When this issue occurs, several error messages may be logged.

The following error message may be logged in the Setuperr.log file:

[0x0f0082] SYSPRP LaunchDll:Failure occurred while executing ‘C:Windowssystem32msdtcprx.dll,SysPrepDtcCleanup’, returned error code -2147024864[gle=0x000000b7]

The following error messages may be logged In the DtcInstall.log:

  • DTC Install error = -2147023844, SysPrepDtcCleanup : TakeOffline failed, d:w7rtmcomcomplusdtcdtcadmedeployment.cpp (1777)

  • DTC Install error = -2147467259, SysPrepDtcCleanup : TakeOffline failed, d:w7rtmcomcomplusdtcdtcadmedeployment.cpp (1777)

Additionally, the following event may be logged in the Application event log: 

Cause

This issue occurs because of a race condition. This race condition occurs when the Sysprep command tries to stop the Microsoft Distributed Transaction Coordinator (MSDTC) service and the VMware tool tries to start the MSDTC service.

Resolution

Hotfix information

A supported hotfix is available from Microsoft. However, this hotfix is intended to correct only the problem that is described in this article. Apply this hotfix only to systems that are experiencing the problem described in this article. This hotfix might receive additional testing. hi

i recently just got a new computer with windows 8. i downloaded arma 2 and when i tryed to run it it closed and said directx cant be installed. i spent ages fixing this problem and ended up downloading 3 dll files and then it worked, the game loaded then
the sound doesnt work. i am assuming this is a problem with directx as still havnt got it properly installed. i looked in the windows folder and in directx it said

Since having to rebuild my Vista 32bit laptop from a full system backup after a hard drive failure, I have had a problem with MSDTC.  After bootup I get the «MS DTCconsole program stopped working and was closed» error.  I am also unable to access COM+ Applications in Component Services.

If I try msdtc -uninstall or msdtc -install I get an error message box pop up with «c:windowssystem32msdtclog.dll is either not designed to run on Windows or it contains an error, etc…»

If I do sfc /scannow, I get this:

KTMRM service failed to load the system restore information. As a result, the service is exiting. Please try restarting the service, if the service fails to start, contact product support. Всем сдрасте, есть очень серьезная проблема не могу переустановить directx, значит так использовал все возможные утилиты, сначала использовал directx-backdate но она не помогла при установке directx февральского он выдал ошибку, дальше просто удалить directx удалить то удалил но вот установить не получается, также не устанавливается SP2, выдает посередине установки «Отказано в доступе» и все, дальше восстановление, что делать? Заниматься переустановкой тоже сейчас немогу, уж слишком много всего понатыкивано в эту систему, кстати Виндовс SP1

востановил с помощью DirectX Happy Uninstall до 8,1 но установить 9 таки не удалось да еще и DirectX Happy Uninstall ругаеться что у меня вида без СП2, что делать?

Fractal да не ставиться, дело в том что я уже ставил его, а теперь при установке выдает ошибку, что делать хз.

Люди, кто подскажет, что делать: мне нужно понизить DirectX с 9 до 8.1 версии. Я скачал прогу XPlite Professional ,ею удалил DirectX9 , а 8.1 не устанавливается-когда запускаю установку DirectX 8.1 (на дисках с играми есть установочные файлы) — прога установки пишет, что всё успешно установлено, но потом оказывается, что ничего подобного. Кто-нибудь сталкивался с подобной проблемой?

скачай DirectX 8.1 поновее и пополнее(можно найти на

www.microsoft.com

), возможно, у тебя не полный дистрибутив

Просто запускаешь ехе-файл с нисталяхой DXа, и оно либо ставится, само, куда ему надо, либо говорит что не подходит под твой windows.

Шутите? :spy:
1.Чтобы установить DirectX, надо запустить DXsetup.exe из каталога установки и следовать инструкциям.
2.Если установка одним файлом(CAB-архивом), надо распаковать его в любую директорию, а затем выполнить п.1.
Ничего никуда копировать не надо. Инсталлятор всё сделает сам.

А через что он (DirectX) удаляется? Просто я скачал апрельскую версию, она устанавливается, но dxdiag всё равно показывает старую версию. ЧТО ДЕЛАТЬ.:shock:

Короче, проблему проскакивания инсталляции так никто и не решил.

Но было замечено, что после установки SP2 проблема исчезает.

1. Скачал Direct X 9.0 с

2. Пытаюсь установить на ком, но появляется надпись:

Текущий пользователь системы не обладает привилегиями администратора.

Войдите в систему как администратор или обратитесь к администратору данного компьютера.

Но я входил и как администратор и как обычный пользователь а результат: одно и то же сообщение.Установить Direct X 9.0 просто не дает.

Буду Вам очень признателен за пошаговый режим решения этой проблемы.

(так как в компьютерах очень слаб)

конфиг напиши а та мож у тебя видюха вообше не имеет даже частичной поддержки DirectX 9 а мож какой вирус забрался тоже очень реалистичный вариант

Была такая утилита — что-то там типа «Control Panel» — это для управления и диагностики параметров DX. Может снести на фиг надо, может — поставить другую версию. Вообще бы не переживал, а убил/затёр Виндоуз и заново всё — скорее это виндоглюк, а сам DX не при чём.

Если нужно — кидай в личку, скину на почту эту «Контрол Панель». Сам её не юзал, за отсутствием проблем, так что разбираться прийдётся самому.

Hey guys I just built the PC for my wife a week ago and she keeps getting errors installing applications. I’ve been able to get the apps to install even though most say error however today we are trying to install directx and we had user/pass issues. It kept asking for admin user and password to install directx. Now there is no password and she is the only account and it is admin. So instead of letting directx install from the installer from the game it is trying to install, I instead found the folder where the setup for directx is located, right clicked selected run as addy and got an error which told me to check out the log. Well hope this error log has something that you guys can help me with.

What other drives are in this system?
That 32GB Optane module is only meant to be a cache for an HDD. Not an addressable drive on its own.

I just have 1TB Samsung Mechanical HDD and that’s it.

Also looking through the log I see that its DTC (Distributed Transaction Coordinator) that seems to be not functioning properly. I did some Googling and I found a video on how to turn it on via Control Panel/Administrative Tools. However, it tells me that I do not have permission to go into Administrative Tools. The account, again, is admin and is the only one on her PC.

Not sure if this also helps determine anything. Is this a permission issue as well? I’m so confused right now

I am trying to compile qemu from source, I’m trying to install qemu for hisilicon, but when I run ./configure I receive the error

ERROR: DTC (libfdt) version >= 1.4.2 not present.
   Please install the DTC (libfdt) devel package

I have already installed qemu

sudo apt-get install -y qemu-kvm qemu virt-manager virt-viewer libvirt-bin

and I’ve already installed libfdt

sudo apt install libfdt-dev

But I’m still getting this message.

How can I install libfdt?

To fix this issue:

I cloned dtc from its repository and extracted the tarball to qemu/dtc/.

Compiled dtc from source first using make

Restarted configuring qemu.

The problem was qemu tries to search for dtc binaries in qemu/dtc. Even if you have installed dtc using sudo apt-get install device-tree-compiler, you will get the above error(mentioned in the question), so you probably need to have the binaries in qemu/dtc.

Hi all,

I have problem. My macbook pro retina 2012. ( i7, 8gb ram, 256 ssd ) I want using boot camp. First problem using patrition instalation not access to new patrition ( not working formated standat disk utility in OS ) but must using external sw for formating ntfs… after is ok and installation ok.

Finishing installation and windows auto reboot and here is problem…

after reboot not launch windows…. :-( reboot and show me black screen with _ about 5 sec. gone and again reboot…. and still around. :-(

I don’t have where is problem :-( boot to OS X no problem working correctly but boot to win still this problem and no possible finishing instalation. last setting is date and time… :-( no more no login to windows…

Any idea where is problem ?
